what you see vs what you don’t.. pregnancy related or not, it can be so easy to come across a post and think “gosh they’re so lucky” or “why was it so easy for them and not for me” but you truly never know what someone has gone through to get where they are now ❤️‍🩹 even after all this I know God’s timing is so so perfect and i feel incredibly grateful for this pregnancy 🙏🏼 sending love to anyone currently in the thick of it and just remember hardly anything you see on social media is actually what it seems. What if I painted a mural?🤍

I asked my husband that question standing in our guest room, at one of the most confusing times of my life. Shortly after finding out I was pregnant, I got laid off. I felt so much joy and so much fear at the same time, and I didn’t know where to put any of it.

So I put it into her. Our baby girl, and her nursery.

I’d never painted a mural before. But I’ve always loved to paint and create, and for the first time in a long time, I felt inspired. 🐶 ⛰️

I hand-drew every line, inspired by Stilton, our first baby, and by every trail, mountain, and adventure that led us here. I wanted her to wake up every morning surrounded by our story 🥹🩷

“Worst case scenario, I’ll just paint over it,” I told him.

20+ hours later, I could never paint over it. This wall has held my worries, my hopes, and so many quiet tears. It’s the most meaningful thing I’ve ever designed, and it isn’t even finished yet. 🎨🌿🐾

I’d love to know what you think so far. Would you ever paint a mural in your home? 👇
