What if I painted a mural?🤍

I asked my husband that question standing in our guest room, at one of the most confusing times of my life. Shortly after finding out I was pregnant, I got laid off. I felt so much joy and so much fear at the same time, and I didn’t know where to put any of it.

So I put it into her. Our baby girl, and her nursery.

I’d never painted a mural before. But I’ve always loved to paint and create, and for the first time in a long time, I felt inspired. 🐶 ⛰️

I hand-drew every line, inspired by Stilton, our first baby, and by every trail, mountain, and adventure that led us here. I wanted her to wake up every morning surrounded by our story 🥹🩷

“Worst case scenario, I’ll just paint over it,” I told him.

20+ hours later, I could never paint over it. This wall has held my worries, my hopes, and so many quiet tears. It’s the most meaningful thing I’ve ever designed, and it isn’t even finished yet. 🎨🌿🐾
