Let’s Make Dog Dad an Office 🐾

Our main goal for this office renovation? Not productivity. Not Zoom calls.

We just want a room where Stilton actually wants to hang out. 😂

My husband works from home all week, but Stilton is usually following me around the house while he’s trying to work. So we’re turning this empty room into a cozy space where Dog Dad can work and Stilton can supervise from his designated corner.

Fun fact: most people know me for dog content, but I’m actually an architect by day. So after my 9-to-5, I’ll be spending the next few weeks transforming this room with a lot of late nights, weekend projects, and one very opinionated project manager. 🐶

Think cozy, timeless, and dog-approved

Now tell me:
🏠 Do you work from home?
🎨 And can you guess the paint color we’re choosing?

Drop your guesses below ⬇️

13 years ago today, I started dating the love of my life 🤍

Over the years, I’ve learned that the real secret to a relationship…is choosing each other every day through communication, compromise, and a whole lot of patience. Some things take time… and I’m so grateful we took ours.

And yes… he didn’t want a dog back then… but look at us now!🐾

Now here we are, just a couple weeks away from forever, and I truly can’t wait to marry you ♥️

And to this incredible community, thank you. None of this would feel possible without you. Your support, your likes, your shares… they’ve helped us build not just this wedding, but this life we’re so proud of ✨

13 years later, and I’d still choose you all over again 🤍 by @stiltontheaussie

I might be a little biased, but this might be the most controversial thing I’ve done as a dog mom… 🧀

I realized I wasn’t giving Stilton the best when it came to his chews, so I threw out all his plastic chew toys and replaced them with natural chews like these @mightypaw Yak Chews

They’re made with just yak milk, salt and lime juice, they last, and when they get too small they go in the microwave for a crunchy puff. No waste, so your money goes further 🙌

How do I know he loves them? He tries to hide them around the house… 👀

Tell me 👇
🐾 What does your dog chew on?
🐾 Have you tried yak chews yet?
🐾 Does your pup hide his treats too?

What if I painted a mural?🤍

I asked my husband that question standing in our guest room, at one of the most confusing times of my life. Shortly after finding out I was pregnant, I got laid off. I felt so much joy and so much fear at the same time, and I didn’t know where to put any of it.

So I put it into her. Our baby girl, and her nursery.

I’d never painted a mural before. But I’ve always loved to paint and create, and for the first time in a long time, I felt inspired. 🐶 ⛰️

I hand-drew every line, inspired by Stilton, our first baby, and by every trail, mountain, and adventure that led us here. I wanted her to wake up every morning surrounded by our story 🥹🩷

“Worst case scenario, I’ll just paint over it,” I told him.

20+ hours later, I could never paint over it. This wall has held my worries, my hopes, and so many quiet tears. It’s the most meaningful thing I’ve ever designed, and it isn’t even finished yet. 🎨🌿🐾

I’d love to know what you think so far. Would you ever paint a mural in your home? 👇

Worst case scenario… I’ll just paint over it 🤍

Shortly after I found out I was pregnant, I got laid off. I went from one of the happiest moments of my life to questioning everything.

So I decided to pour my thoughts and energy into the one thing that feels certain: my baby girl, and her nursery 🎀

I never painted a mural before. But I decide I could hand-draw one anyway, inspired by Stilton, our first baby, and by our love for travel and nature. Every mountain and trail on that wall is a piece of our story.

Before I picked up a brush, I told my husband, “Worst case scenario, I’ll just paint over it…”

20+ hours later, I can’t imagine ever painting over it. This hand-painted mural has become the most relaxing, almost out-of-body experience. Some days I just stand in the doorway and get emotional looking at it. I can’t wait to finish it and welcome her into this room.

This one means more to me than any project I’ve ever designed 🩷✨

I’ve always loved to paint and create. Somewhere between 10 years of architecture and life getting busy, I stopped making things just for me. Then we found out we’re having a baby, and suddenly I felt inspired again. Ready to take on something big! Also being unemployed what better way to spend my time?

So our spare room is becoming a baby nursery, with a hand-painted mural inspired by all our adventures, our love for the outdoors, and our very first baby: Stilton. He was there for every hike and every road trip, and he knew this room was meant for the baby before we did. Now he’s going to be on the wall, watching over his future best friend 🐾

The mural sketch is officially done, so we headed to @homedepot (thank you for being dog friendly!) to color-match his fur. 15 paint samples later, I’m ready to start painting.

Am I a little nervous? Of course. But worst case scenario… I paint over it ?!😅

People always ask why we take Stilton everywhere… and honestly, the answer is simple. He’s family!

For us, there’s no such thing as planning a trip and figuring out where he’ll stay. He’s part of every plan, every road trip, and every “where should we go next?” (He even came on our honeymoon!)

That’s a big reason we love traveling with @outdoorsy
Renting a van means he gets to be right there with us, waking up in the mountains, hitting the trails, and curling up after a long day of exploring.

Until you’ve traveled with your dog, it’s hard to explain. Once you have, you’ll never want to go without them.

Tell me in the comments: does your dog come on every adventure too? 🐾

Dear Stilton,

We just got back from our babymoon, and I have to be honest with you… I thought about you the entire time ✨🩵

Every time we walked on the beach, all I could picture was you running straight into the waves like you own the ocean. Every hike we did was so dog friendly, and every single time, I caught myself saying “he would have loved this.”

This was our last trip as a couple before your little sibling arrives. It was truly a wonderful trip, and I’ll treasure those quiet moments with your dad forever.

But it would have been better with you🐾🩵

So I’m making you a promise: I will never plan a trip you can’t come on ever again. You were our first adventure buddy, and that will never change. Soon there will be one more of us, and you’ll have someone new to explore the world with🥹✨

Thank you for waiting for us at home. We missed you more than you’ll ever know. 🤍

Love always,
