The BBC understands the man attacked by a tiger after entering its enclosure on Saturday afternoon is William Chapman. An eyewitness described seeing the man wearing headphones and "pacing around" near the enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park before he went in and was attacked. Police confirmed he was visiting the park on his own. The wildlife park remains closed as investigations into the death continue. Yorkshire Wildlife Park said the rare Amur tiger, called Altai, remained in the enclosure and would not be euthanised. Read more on this story by tapping the link in @bbcyorkshire’s bio.

Photos and videos online showed the state of rainwater collected in pails in Singapore following a downpour on Oct. 15, 2026, as hazy conditions persisted. Haze from forest fires contain soot, ash, and unburned carbon. The process where rain washes fine particles, including PM2.5, out of the air is known as “wet deposition” or “rain scavenging”. The relief is usually short-lived. But the resultant grey and murky residue can coat cars and plants when they fall on the ground with the rain. #mothershipenvironment
Peterburgda migrantlarga taqiqlar Rossiyaning Sankt-Peterburg shahrida migrantlarga sartaroshxona, do‘kon va fitnes-klublarda ishlash taqiqlandi. Shahar ma’muriyati mehnat patentiga ega chet elliklarning tibbiyot, sartaroshlik xizmatlari, kosmetologiya, chakana savdo hamda jismoniy tarbiya sohalarida ishlashini taqiqladi. Mazkur taqiq 2026-yil oxirigacha amal qiladi. Ta’kidlanishicha, ushbu cheklovlar “xufiyona bandlikka qarshi kurashish” uchun zarur. Ammo bu tartib Yevroosiyo iqtisodiy ittifoqiga a’zo davlatlar —Belarus, Qozog‘iston, Armaniston, Qirg‘iziston fuqarolariga hamda ishlash ruxsatnomasiga ega chet elliklarga tatbiq etilmaydi. Ma’lumot uchun, 2025-yilda taksi haydovchilari va kuryerlar uchun ham shunday taqiq joriy etilgandi. Ta’kidlash joiz, Rossiya hukumati 2024-yil mart oyida Moskva oblastidagi Crocus City Hall’da sodir etilgan teraktdan so‘ng migratsiya siyosatini qat’iylashtira boshladi. Xususan, nikoh orqali soddalashtirilgan tartibda Rossiyada yashash guvohnomasini olish cheklandi, mamlakatdan chiqarib yuborishning yangi tartibi tasdiqlandi hamda rus tilini bilmaydigan migrantlarning farzandlarini maktablarga qabul qilish taqiqlandi.
