2 years ago I had several kidney complications (yes, not due to protein, creatine or whey protein) due to more than 10 years of being a type 1 diabetic. This condition is also called “diabetic nephropathy”. Due to recovery from surgery and medications along with strict bed rest, I had lost almost 2 years of gym progress in a matter of weeks. I felt depressed and fatigued and stopped feeling like myself altogether. There were times where I would look in the mirror and ask myself if I was “Rohin” because I placed a lot of importance on my looks and my appearance. Because of this challenge, I realised the harsh reality that a lot of people you trusted are not there for you when you need them the most. I thereby started focusing on what made me feel the best. Improving my family relationships, focusing on the people who matter, achieving my goals and staying busy with my purpose and ultimately staying happy became the goal for me. Since June 2024 I have lost almost 10 kgs and have added muscle mass while lean gaining since February this year. Many people say that being a diabetic means that you will never be able to build a good physique (even doctors), but, the result speaks for itself. What helped me through my journey: 1. Food habits: The main focus should be on the eating food that helps you stay focused mentally and helps you push you to your limits physically in whichever way you prefer. This manages your blood sugar levels so there are no blood sugar spikes and falls so your energy levels remain stable throughout the day. And of course, make sure you hit your protein goals. 2. Sleep: Sleep is non negotiable because sleep controls your cortisol and your mood. Even if you workout everyday, if you get poor sleep it’s bound to cause problems in your recovery. 3. Perseverance: Consistency and perseverance. My motto is perseverance because if you can go through any and all challenges with utmost patience and consistency, you can achieve anything. Keep reminding yourself why you started this journey and keep going. More coming soon. #gangstaywinnin #motivational #gym #gymmotıvatıon #fitness
Autumn favourites 🍁 I literally feel unwell without layers 🙈 Love cheetah with grey it’s softer than with black or white I have loved camo for a very long time I have two pairs, they are so comfy and easy to style It’s not a trend, it’s classic It’s not a bag…. This cardi is working overtime in my wardrobe also basically anything @charlottesimone Burgundy and pink with brown is a favourite colour combo of mine I think zebra is also a classic It’s part of my identity, I don’t want it if it’s my actual size Or anything @freepeopleeu Loafers with everything really… even with tracksuits Suede trousers over suede jackets It’s cute and it’s practical what more do you need? The weirder the better tbh I don’t think they’re very flattering on me, and somehow this is why I love them iykyk Obviously 🙄 It can change the whole vibe of the look and I’m here for it

We’re witnessing never before seen levels of flopping 😭😭 The Oklahoma City Thunder were putting on an absolute FLOPPING MASTERCLASS against the Denver Nuggets last night. It felt like every time there was contact, somebody from Oklahoma City was flying across the court like they had just been tackled in an NFL game. Players were hitting the floor, exaggerating contact, and making ordinary basketball plays look like serious collisions. At some point, you have to wonder whether you’re watching an NBA game or an acting competition. The funniest part was how dramatic some of these reactions looked. One second, a player was running perfectly fine, and the next, he was rolling around on the hardwood like something catastrophic had happened. Oklahoma City is already one of the most talented teams in basketball, which makes the theatrics even more ridiculous. You shouldn’t need an Oscar-worthy performance to convince the referees to blow their whistles. The Thunder still walked away with a 96-84 victory over Denver, improving to 2-0 despite Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scoring just 17 points. But the flopping was impossible to ignore. Oklahoma City deserves respect for how well it plays basketball, but some of these reactions were absolutely hilarious. The NBA needs to start handing out acting awards because the Thunder might have a few serious contenders this season. Follow US (@doughburrow) one of the funniest pages on IG 😭
