HU Staff: Kecia Gayle @kecia.kae Gracie Bon is getting dragged online, and she’s not staying quiet about it. The Instagram model is answering the backlash over pictures that show her posing in front of destroyed homes in earthquake-hit Panama. Her message to critics is that the photos were never about her… ___________________________________________________ A magnitude 7.7 earthquake hit Panama on October 9, 2026. Bon posted the controversial photos on Sunday, October 11, showing her in white clothing among damaged structures, scattered bricks and broken household items. Of course many called the framing insensitive and said people’s ruined homes shouldn’t double as a backdrop for influencer content. ___________________________________________________ Bon, who is Panamanian, sent us a statement to set the record straight, saying she was only using the attention she’s used to getting to spotlight something far more important than her body, the latest natural disaster that has hit her country. “Yes, I was in Panama City visiting my family when the earthquake happened. It was so strong, but we were not affected. The affected areas were in the countryside. Everyone lost their homes. But the media, the news, no one was really talking about it. They were all saying Panama is doing great because no one lost their lives.” That, she says, is what pushed her to act. “So the first thing I did was buy more than $20K in donations, and of course my intent was to give visibility to my country. ___________________________________________________ Click the link in bio for full story 📸 @graciebon

10 POUNDS DOWN! 🥹 But can we talk about the changes that have nothing to do with the scale? One thing I forgot to mention in this video is that I’ve been waking up naturally between 5:30 and 6 AM. No alarm clock, no dragging myself out of bed, just waking up feeling ready to start my day. Y’all, that is NEW for me! Over these past few weeks, I’ve been intentional about changing my habits, moving my body, being mindful of what I consume, and creating a wellness routine that actually fits my lifestyle. I’ve also been incorporating @thedetoxnow into my RESET journey, and what I’m learning is that wellness isn’t about doing everything perfectly. It’s about being consistent, listening to your body, and making choices that support the woman you’re becoming. I’m 10 pounds down through the changes I’ve been making, but I’m equally excited about how I’m showing up for myself. The mornings, the discipline, the energy, the mindset. All of it matters. Beauty really does start before the makeup. 🤎 check the link in my bio to explore @thedetoxnow and use my code KOKO25 for 25% off.
POV: You leave me alone in my bedroom for 5 minutes 😂 and I’m already making my own show 🤭✌️
