@thebigmansworld So far, October has been a pretty epic month in terms of cooking! Here’s some of my favs I’ve cooked up: 1. Honey walnut shrimp- A riff on something I used to eat all the time as a kid, the crispy shrimp and walnuts are coated in a sweet, savory sauce. 2. Air fryer fish tacos- This is my hack for crispy fish without all the deep frying. Add your favorite taco fillings and voila. 3. Tri tip roast- Tri tip can be hit or miss when it comes to roasting, but I’ve perfected the ideal spice rub, along with cooking time, so you can expect a juicy roast every time. 4. Flourless oat bread- Skip the flour and make a loaf of this fluffy sandwich brea that doesn’t use bread or regular AP flour. 5. Carnitas (pulled pork)- I recently re-tested this recipe to be better AND easier. I reckon it’s one of the best pulled porks ever. 6. Air fryer fried rice- probably the best use of leftover rice and all done in the air fryer. 7. Cottage cheese cinnamon rolls- I know this sounds a little odd, but I’m only adding the cottage cheese to the dough, and you won’t even know it’s there. They turn out super fluffy and gooey. Just say “recipe” and I’ll DM you the link right this second or click the link in my profile OR save the recipes below https://thebigmansworld.com/recipes/ or google “the big mans world recipes” Follow @thebigmansworld for more easy, healthy recipes

Estrangement typically occurs on a continuum—and parents don’t always recognize the signs, says Kristina Scharp, a communication professor at Rutgers University who studies the issue. Think of a scale from one to 10, where 10 is full contact between parent and child and one is none. In between, there is a slow pullback: fewer calls and visits, less access granted. “It’s a myth that estrangement is always all or nothing,” Scharp says. Scharp identified eight characteristics of estrangement, or areas in which adult children who are pulling away from their parents change their behaviors or feelings. All of these behaviors occur on a spectrum, and not all are at play in every estrangement, Scharp says. People may also fluctuate, moving closer—or away—from a parent at different times. If parents understand this, they may be able to improve the relationship. “The continuum is where the compromise can exist,” Scharp says. Read more at the link in our bio. 🎨: @solcotti for WSJ
Day 28 of me, reminding you there are only 17 days left till midterms. The reason why America doesn’t look like France is because of President Trumps policies. #trump #maga #france #migrants
MINIMALISM | 10 ICONIC ARTISTS & WORKS What happens when we remove everything unnecessary? Emerging as a major art movement in the 1960s, Minimalism challenged the idea that art needed complexity, decoration, or emotional expression to be meaningful. Simple forms, repetition, industrial materials, and empty space became powerful tools of visual communication. From Donald Judd’s geometric sculptures and Dan Flavin’s fluorescent installations to Agnes Martin’s delicate grids and Sol LeWitt’s systematic structures, Minimalism transformed the relationship between objects, space, and the viewer. In this 10-part series, Desizn Circle explores the artists who redefined simplicity, their distinctive approaches to form and material, and the principles that continue to influence architecture, furniture, fashion, interiors, and contemporary design. Because great design is not always about what we add, but what we choose to leave out. Issued by Desizn Circle #DesiznCircle #Minimalism #MinimalistArt #DesignHistory #ArtHistory
