Finalmente a espera acabou!

Allow me to reintroduce myself. My name is Marcelo, and I wear a few different hats! For those of you who are new here, I'm a founder, a creator, a partner, dog dad, and someone who's just trying to build a life I'm proud of. I'm also doing my absolute best to show up more online, but between building businesses, growing what I believe will become South Africa's biggest creator network, and everything else life throws at me, building my own personal brand sometimes takes a back seat. CASE IN POINT, this video is already two months old. 😂 But here we are! I come from humble beginnings, and I've always believed that where you come from doesn't have to determine where you end up. I'm just a kid with big dreams, an almost delusional belief in what's possible, and a genuine desire to create opportunities for other South Africans along the way. If sharing my journey inspires even one person to back themselves and go after their dreams, then that's a win in my books!
Last night marked the official launch of The Hellenic Initiative Australia New Leaders in Melbourne, bringing together around 200 emerging Greek Australian leaders at PwC for an evening centred on connection, leadership and giving back. I’m incredibly proud to be part of the New Leaders Committee and what we’re building for the next generation of Greek Australians. As Patron of New Leaders, Mark Bouris joined us for an incredibly insightful conversation, sharing lessons from his own journey in business and leadership, his connection to his Greek heritage, and why supporting Greece and strengthening our Hellenic community matters to him. One message that really stayed with me was the importance of keeping the Hellenic legacy going. Not simply celebrating where we come from, but understanding it, staying connected to it and finding meaningful ways to contribute. The conversation covered business, philanthropy, identity and the role the next generation can play in supporting Greece and our community here in Australia. I was also fortunate to have a few minutes with Mark before the event to ask him about becoming Patron of New Leaders, his advice for the next generation of Greek Australians, and what being Greek Australian personally means to him. 🇬🇷🇦🇺 Afterwards, the conversations continued over drinks at Marmont, with Mark generously spending time meeting and speaking with New Leaders throughout the evening. A brilliant start to what I think will become something very special for our community. The next generation is here. Now it’s about what we do with it. 💙🇬🇷 @thehellenicinitiative_australia @mark_bouris #markbouris #thi #thehellenicinitiative #thehellenicinitiativeaustralia

I am angry tonight. Because today ICE shot a New Yorker. They shot a New Yorker while his five year old child was in the car. ICE makes this city less safe. We want them out. Now.
