The Mugen EK9 CTR set-up… Late last year, I played with the idea of having a Mugen catalog set-up on my EK9 for Wekfest LA. Don’t get me wrong, the set-up I had when the car left Exceed in Japan is my ideal set-up. I’ll keep that look forever. That’s exactly how I wanted the car to look when I planned out the build from the start. But, hey, why not switch it up for a weekend? Let’s re-imagine it with a collection of original Mugen parts… I had some stuff already. Mainly the Mugen intake, steering wheel, bolts, and N1 roll cage. I had a set of S1 seats stashed away for a while now and I recently acquired a full Mugen Twin-Loop exhaust via a trade for some Mugen Active Gate brakes. I wasn’t going to use the brakes anyway and I don’t come across too many clean Twin Loops in 2026 so it was an easy choice. Someone contacted me out of the blue a couple months ago and offered to sell me their brand new strut bars as well. I had to wait a few months to save up but he wasn’t pushy about selling to others and still had them when I was ready. Mugen stuff in 2026 makes you feel like a kid again cuz you actually have to save up and just can’t buy it on a whim anymore lol… For the major remaining stuff, I would need an assist. I wouldn’t sit here and front like I have all this stuff, especially since this look isn’t a permanent one. I want a Mugen valve cover, but I’d literally have to sell a car to get one these days, the same way @c.navarro3 had to buy a car just to get his—which I borrowed. Luckily Chuy has been around forever and acquired some of this stuff when it wasn’t crazy yet. The bronze MF10s are his too. I just got a set for my S2000 recently and have a set on my EG6, I really don’t need another set. The SS lip I’ll be holding onto. It was basically broken in half off of an old No Good Racing EK and Exceed was able to save it. It’s actually staying on the car for a while because my bumper is scratched underneath from mounting it so I’ll need another OEM bumper painted for my @exceed_jpn V2 lip. Some have said they prefer this look, it’s timeless. I get it. I enjoy it, but I think I’m still partial to the original setup. It’s just fun to change it up sometimes…

✅🇮🇩 Timnas masih membosankan, namun kali ini lebih tajam. Begitulah kira-kira yang bisa digambarkan dalam pertandingan tadi menghadapi Singapura. Kemenangan yang tidak begitu melegakan karena masih banyak catatan: -Core lini tengah yang mengejutkan karena memasang duet Pelupessy dan Verdonk dimana keduanya lebih fokus ke bertahan ketimbang memberikan umpan progresif -Kurangnya chemistry di lini depan yang sangat terlihat sering kali membuang-buang peluang karena end passing yang salah -Transisi yang lambat (mungkin disebabkan kondisi fisik pemain yang belum fit karena masih jetlag) -Adanya Mitch Baker dalam beberapa pertandingan terakhir nampaknya membuat skema permainan menjadi condong kearah crossing untuk memanfaatkan tinggi badan Mitch Hal ini sangat berbanding terbalik pada beberapa laga awal timnas dimana memasang Ole Romeny sebagai False 9 yang roaming turun menjemput bola sebagai jembatan serangan dimana permainan lebih mengalir dan variatif. Coach John Herdman harus menunjukkan kualitas taktiknya di pertandingan yang akan datang apalagi bertemu Lawan yang lumayan kuat (Malaysia dan Vietnam).
