If you are wondering what the harsh winters can do to the deer, this video was taken September 15th and his body still hadn’t recovered. This warrior was in bad shape. The winters can be brutal.
Fingers crossed that Mother Nature won’t be so brutal this winter. Our herd health depends on it.

Definitely in rough shape. He looks like a very old deer to me honestly. The oldest and youngest usually get hit the worst from hard winters. Southern Utah faired much better and has some pretty good fawn recruitment. Hoping for just a solid winter not a rough one🤞🏻

Sounds like they’ll be doing more cloud seeding again this year. Could be a rough winter again 🫤
