🔥 According to the Smithsonian Institution, lowriding began in Mexican-American communities during the 1940s! Mexican-American car enthusiasts began modifying older vehicles, lowering their suspensions, adding custom paint jobs, and creating a completely different style from the popular hot rods of the time! 🇲🇽🚘 The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History confirms that Mexican-Americans helped establish the tradition through their creativity and mechanical skills! Instead of building cars primarily for speed, they embraced the famous “Low And Slow” lifestyle! By the 1950s, lowriding had become an important part of Mexican-American automotive expression, particularly in Southern California. 🔥💯 More than 80 years later, lowriding has spread far beyond California, reaching communities across the United States, Japan, and other parts of the world! What began in our Raza’s neighborhoods became an internationally recognized automotive tradition! DID Y’ALL KNOW MEXICAN-AMERICANS STARTED LOWRIDING?! 🇲🇽🚘
