Let’s Make this no Maida, No Onion-Garlic Navratri Special Sabudana paneer Jhol Momo in Nepali Style without any Tamjam . Ingredients For the momo 1 cup sabudana (tapioca pearls) ½ cup grated carrot ½ cup crumbled fresh paneer Salt to taste (as per your vrat rules) 1 tsp ghee For the creamy jhol 2 medium tomatoes 2 tbsp peanuts 1 tbsp sesame seeds 1 green chilli ½ tsp grated ginger (optional) 1 tsp mustard oil Water as needed Salt to taste (as per your vrat rules) Method Soak the sabudana: Soak for a few hours until softened. Drain thoroughly and let the excess moisture evaporate. Prepare the filling: Mix grated carrot, crumbled paneer, salt and ghee. Make the jhol paste: Dry-roast peanuts and sesame seeds. Separately, heat mustard oil and cook tomatoes, green chilli and optional ginger until the tomatoes become very soft. Blend: Grind the roasted peanuts, sesame seeds and cooked tomatoes into a smooth paste. Cook the jhol: Transfer the paste to a pan, add water and salt as needed, and simmer until thick and creamy. Shape the momos: Mash the drained sabudana. With lightly oiled hands, flatten a portion, add the paneer-carrot filling and carefully seal into a ball. Wet your hands slightly if needed. Steam: Place the balls on greased or parchment-lined steamer plates and steam for about 20–25 minutes, checking that the sabudana is cooked through and the balls hold their shape. Serve: Place the steamed momos in a bowl and pour the hot creamy jhol over them. Enjoy immediately! Tips for best results Drain the sabudana really well so the mixture is easier to shape. Steam one test momo first; if it doesn’t hold together, the sabudana may need more draining or mashing. Vrat rules vary by household, so confirm that mustard oil, sesame seeds and your chosen seasonings are permitted. DP World Tour veteran Joost Luiten has absolutely unloaded on the thought of LIV players returning to the tour in 2027. Speaking to Ben Parsons of Today’s Golfer, Joost said: “They should make it harder for guys to come back. Four years ago they didn’t give a shit about the DP World Tour. They made a decision to go after the money. And now all of a sudden, the money is gone and they want to come back and act like nothing happened. I don’t think that’s right.” “There should be a rule that if you gave up your membership you lose all your exemption rights as well. Then you have to stay a member if you want to ever come back to this tour. A lot of the guys gave up their membership and now they come back like nothing happened and then they become a member again and they get all the rights that they had before they left. “If they think that they are that good then show it at Q School and beat the guys. That’s how every other guy that wants to play on this tour has to go.” A significant number of LIV players without status on the DP World Tour are also reported by Today’s Golfer as being in negotiations to earn a large number of sponsor invites in 2027 if they leave LIV Golf. Joost went on to give his opinion on that too: “Why give them invites? If I apply for an invite if I’m not in a tournament, I’m not going to get it because it’s all going to the LIV guys. There’s only a certain amount of invites. “Invites should be for young talent coming through and not guys that took the piss against this tour and now they want to come back and they get invites. I’m not a big fan of that.” Joost has never been one to mince his words and he certainly didn’t on this subject either. Regardless of what Joost or the other DP World Tour members think, there will be a large contingent of ex LIV players on the tour in 2027 and it will definitely increase the strength of fields and make the tour more compelling as a competitive product.
