It is with heavy hearts that we at Spotlight Running announce that our dear friend, competitor, and creator of Spotlight Running, Andre Ezra Harrison passed away on October 3, 2023 as a result of a fentanyl overdose. In this hard time, we would like to come together as the running community that Andre worked so hard to bring together and carry on the legacy Andre left behind.
At your respective meets this coming weekend, please place Andreβs favorite colored ribbons β blue, green, and red β on your spikes and/or uniforms and send in images or videos showing your support so that we as a community can carry on where Andre left off.
Furthermore, please, if you or anyone you know are in need of help in any degree, whether it involves drugs, depression, or any other struggle, please do not hesitate reach out.

as andres sister and best friend, i know that andre would not want this account to continue. this was HIS account and he ran it by himself. he would not want anyone else taking it over. andre is at rest and this account should be at rest as well. letβs be respectful and not take advantage of deceased individuals account just for your own selfishness. he put a lot of work into this and this is one thing we will all remember HIM for, so please let this account be inactive. let his friends and family remember the account for what he built, not for what you continuedβ€οΈ
