Some evenings leave you feeling inspired long after they’re over. So honoured to have been invited to Grand Cru in support of @UHNFoundation - thank you to @one.twenty.eight for introducing me to their work. What made this evening so special wasn’t just the incredible food, wine and setting, but the opportunity to celebrate and connect with the people behind the impact - the generous donors, brilliant scientists and researchers, and the many individuals who are helping advance the future of health care. To sit alongside people who are making such a meaningful difference in the lives of others was truly inspiring. It was a beautiful reminder that behind every breakthrough, every clinical trial and every advancement in patient care, there are people who believe in making a difference. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this unforgettable evening possible and to UHN for including me in such a meaningful celebration. The work being done at University Health Network is extraordinary, and I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to experience firsthand the passion and generosity that help make it possible. Adam Sandler’s Eight Crazy Nights (2002) is an adult animated musical comedy that has become a unique, nostalgic staple of the winter season. Co-written and produced by Sandler, the film centers on Davey Stone, a 33-year-old alcoholic troublemaker in the small town of Dukesberry who faces jail time after a destructive holiday bender. Instead of prison, a sympathetic judge sentences Davey to community service as an assistant basketball referee alongside Whitey Duvall, an eccentric, deeply optimistic elderly man. Sandler showcases his vocal versatility by voicing Davey, Whitey, and Whitey’s fraternal twin sister, Eleanore. While the movie is known for its trademark Happy Madison crude and scatological humor, it is also celebrated for its high-quality, beautifully rendered 2D hand-drawn animation and its musical numbers—including an updated version of Sandler’s famous “The Chanukah Song.” #adamsandler #eightcrazynights #christmasmovies #november #fypageジ
