Lots of interesting facts included such as, despite the luxurious experience, Concorde’s windows were about the size of your hand! When travelling at cruising speed Concorde’s airframe would heat up to the point that the aircraft would stretch by15-25cm. Passengers fine dined at the edge of space some 60,000 feet above the earth. To optimise the delta wing’s tail lift the aircraft featured a small tail bumper wheel to ensure the rear didn’t hit the ground on take-off. 😱 14 commercial aircraft’s were built and most stayed in service until that fateful day. With Earth spinning at 1,040mph and Concorde at 1,334mph passengers could see the same sunset twice!!
