Happy 100 Years to The Walt Disney Company! 6 years later, I still can’t believe I get to work for this company.

We have old home videos of little me dancing around the house to “Friend Like Me”, opening Toy Story toys as a toddler, and showing off my Star Wars Lego. The toys and movies have been a staple for me for as long as I can remember and growing up in Oregon/Washington it never seemed like this unattainable place that people could actually work at.

One things I’ve learned here at Disney is that it means something different to everyone, especially if you have never been to the parks. But the fact that Walt Disney had an idea and turned it into so many different things is unbelievable.

Even before working here I was getting opportunities to work on projects for Disney, was able to do that Uniqlo shirt, and I was always being inspired by Disney properties. This account all started because I wanted to get better at illustration, so I fully leaned into Disney for inspiration for fundamentals of how to create my own work.

I’ve been able to work on crazy projects, create friendships, launch new products and it’s all for a place I never thought would be possible to work for!

It’s unreal that I get to sit here and make a post from the lot before the celebration begins! Happy 100 Years to Disney!
