2027 Election: Tinubu Is Not Jonathan, He Cannot Preside Over An Election He Will Lose, Nigeria Sliding Into Dictatorship — Activist Dele Farotimi Human rights lawyer and activist Dele Farotimi has warned that President Bola Tinubu cannot preside over an election he would lose, alleging that Nigeria is sliding into dictatorship under the guise of democracy. Speaking ahead of the 2027 elections, Farotimi said Nigerians must organise to confront the political system rather than rely solely on elections to bring change. “Tinubu is not Jonathan, he is incapable of presiding over an election he will lose, and he has neither a pathway to victory, nor the narrative to explain the outcome he desires. If it were not so tragic, it’d be comedic; feudalism has birthed a monster,” he said, contrasting Tinubu with former President Goodluck Jonathan, who conceded defeat in 2015. Farotimi alleged that votes would not count and the judiciary would endorse the results unless citizens took action. “Your votes do not count and the judiciary will endorse it, unless me and you decide to do something about it, because we are sleeping while a dictatorship is being installed in our country democratically,” he said. He called for Nigeria to be restructured and reimagined, urging citizens to unite around a new national vision. “The only thing that can be done to Nigeria is to restructure it, reimagine it, find a way to get together a critical mass of its victims, sell them a new version of this country, draw a line in the sand, and confront the system,” he said. Farotimi said a revolution was necessary to transform Nigeria, although it could happen through the ballot box. “It will take a revolution to save Nigeria,” he said, adding, “That revolution might come through the ballot. I’m not convinced, but insufficient numbers are persuaded to believe in the vision, not the person.” He urged political movements to present voters with a clear vision rather than focus solely on personalities. “If you don’t place the vision for a new Nigeria on the ballot, you cannot mobilise the people to stand behind their votes,” he said.
Bagaimana nih menurut Sobat Bisnis? The fact that Tesla was able to keep the development of the Roadster a secret for so long is pretty impressive. Tesla has now shared behind-the-scenes footage showing what went into developing and testing its next-generation Roadster. The footage shows engineers testing thrusters, working on the car’s mechanics, and building a custom ramp to prepare for some of the insane maneuvers we saw during the reveal. During the live demo, Tesla showed how the Roadster could briefly lift off the ground, flip in midair, and even drive upside down using a combination of compressed-air thrusters and a fan-powered system. Seeing the final demonstration was already pretty wild. Seeing how much work went into making it possible is even more impressive. 🎥: Tesla | @SawyerMerritt on X
