So proud of this project, the team worked unbelievably hard to bring this to you guys. Can’t wait to share it with you on the 18th.

I know I’ve been gone for a while; back in July we flew to London to shoot on-location on our biggest music video yet. This one is something the team and I have been wanting to pull off for a long time: creating something that blends my favorite art forms.

In many ways, I see this as the future of music marketing. It’s time that we moved away from the endless iterations of each-other’s work and allow the marketing to be a kind of art in its own right— giving the audience a story in every possible medium.

After ten days of shooting, two months of editing, and $9K of my own money paid out-of-pocket, we’re finally ready to start pulling back the curtain on our most ambitious project yet.

Be ready for lots more music and as always some crazy videos.

People tend to get religious about the idea of progress. It stems from a certain unthinking devotion to the idea of progress, with no thought given to the why and how of it. The fact is, a lot depends on the consequences of the things we do to achieve said progress.

Take AI for example. I've lost count of how many times people say "tech progress should never end". Really? Never? Why is that? Is it because tech progress is always a good thing? Should it not stop or even pause if millions are being hurt by it? There just isn't any thought paid to this matter. People parrot the line about "progress" without even understanding what they are supporting. Corporate propaganda helps of course.

A cousin of this progress narrative is the kind of "development" our governments foist on us in the name of progress. More buildings, more malls, more overbridges. Why? Nobody seems to know. Forests be damned, rivers be damned, landslides and climate change be damned. Progress must never stop.

Please think about this. Unthinking devotion to the idea of progress without defining the parameters of it is no different from religious devotion.
