After 13 trips to rehab, Bam Margera finally found the thing that works, and it’s been under his feet the whole time 🛹 The Jackass and Viva La Bam star is now more than two years sober. For a long stretch, his battle with drugs and alcohol played out in front of everyone. He went through rehab 13 times, was cut from Jackass Forever in 2022, and has said his life spiraled after his best friend and castmate Ryan Dunn died in a car crash in 2011. He’s described his wake-up call as the moment he came to on life support, battling COVID and pneumonia, and learned he’d had multiple seizures. He says he knew then that something had to change. These days, he gives the credit to his board. “Skateboarding is my medication,” he said. “As long as I do a trick a day, it keeps my sanity sane.” What helped you or someone you love turn things around? ❤️

This one was SPECIAL!! 🥂 Grateful is an understatement. Thank you to everyone who showed up and celebrated me. For the first time, I had the opportunity to celebrate my birthday with my mom, brothers, and cousins all under one roof. That alone made this one unforgettable. Truly a blessing. In one of Manipur’s largest public demonstrations since ethnic violence erupted in 2023, over one lakh people reportedly took to the streets of Imphal on October 31, demanding an end to the prolonged conflict, justice for victims and the safe return of thousands of families displaced from their homes. While local newspaper The Sangai Express estimated participation at over one lakh, other national media reports described the gathering as involving thousands, without independently confirming the higher figure. The massive rally brought together members of the Meitei, Naga and other indigenous communities, with protesters marching through the streets carrying placards reading “Save Manipur” and “We Want Peace, Not Proxy War.” Organised by the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) alongside several Naga civil society organisations, the demonstration called for the immediate termination of the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement between the government and Kuki militant groups. Protesters accused the Centre of facilitating what they described as a “proxy war” against indigenous communities, an allegation made by the organisers rather than an independently established fact. They also demanded the withdrawal of Assam Rifles from certain areas, stronger security measures and the rehabilitation of displaced families. The demonstration began at Tiddim Ground in Kwakeithel and culminated in a public gathering at THAU Ground in Thangmeiband. Similar rallies were reported in several hill districts, including Senapati and Chandel. Businesses and educational institutions remained closed in parts of Imphal, while security personnel were deployed along the protest route. At the gathering, organisers adopted a six-point resolution demanding government accountability, the protection of indigenous communities and the removal of Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen. They also called for the state government’s resignation if their demands were not addressed. The protests come amid renewed tensions and killings in a state that has struggled with ethnic violence, displacement and deep divisions since May 2023.
