The double standard is the whole story. Jaxson Dart, the young Giants quarterback, introduced the president at a rally in New York last spring, said he was honored to do it, and got crucified for it: pundits melting down, teammates holding meetings, a week of national scolding for the crime of respecting the office. Dart did nothing but speak at a legal political event, and the league’s chattering class treated it like a scandal.

Now look at Josh Jacobs. The Packers running back was arrested in May after a domestic dispute, pleaded no contest in September to misdemeanor battery and criminal damage to property, spent six weeks on the commissioner’s exempt list, and then scored a touchdown on national television and celebrated with his hands behind his back like a man in handcuffs. He says the gesture was a gospel celebration, “Break Every Chain,” planned with a teammate, and the broadcast caught only a second of it. Fine. Report his explanation. But notice who gets the benefit of the doubt and who does not.

A quarterback gets a week of outrage for introducing the president. A running back mimes his own arrest weeks after a battery plea, with fresh allegations from three more women surfacing days later, and the coach calls it a conversation. The NFL will forgive almost anything except the wrong politics. Dart stood for his country and got heat. Jacobs mocked his own cuffs and got understanding. Remember the difference the next time the league lectures you about character.

Unlike cows, cockroaches cannot simply be milked. The substance is produced to nourish developing embryos, and extracting its nutrient-rich crystals is an extremely difficult process.

#Clique, a complaint about someone passing gas inside a convenience store reportedly ended with a man losing his life.

According to 11Alive, the complaint sparked a dispute that led to a deadly sh*oting in Clayton County, Georgia. Police identified Seneca Colbert, 48, as the suspect in the October 8 incident at the Marathon Gas Riverdale Xpress Mart.

Colbert was later arrested with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service and Atlanta police. The victim’s name had not been released in the reports reviewed. The headline.
