TNHT Staff: @YesThatsDee _____________ Neighbors, Michael Desronvil, the lone holdout juror in Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial, is breaking his silence after his refusal to agree with 11 other jurors resulted in a mistrial. _____________ During his first televised interview with Fox News, Desronvil revealed that he feared for his safety after Clancy’s attorney, Kevin Reddington, requested an investigation into him. He claims the media even went through his trash and believes the attorney’s actions made it easier for people to identify him and potentially target his home. _____________ Despite the backlash, Desronvil says his faith helped guide him through the difficult trial. He maintained that his decision was based on the evidence and that he believed Clancy deliberately planned the killings of her three young children. _____________ He also described listening to her husband Patrick’s heartbreaking 911 call as surreal, recalling the desperation in his voice after discovering what happened. _____________ Meanwhile, Clancy’s defense team has questioned Desronvil’s conduct and requested a review of his phone activity and jury questionnaire. Her attorneys maintain she was suffering from postpartum psychosis, while prosecutors argue she knew exactly what she was doing.
My contribution to the 62nd edition of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year is this juvenile turtle, nominated for the People’s Choice Award. It was my favourite image captured in 2025 which makes this selection extra rewarding (mostly because it offers a shred of evidence that I’m not totally mad). Beyond the award, this picture shares one of the most rarely seen moments in the ocean and in the life of sea turtles. The odds are stacked against sea turtles from the moment they hatch; only one out of every thousand destined to make it to adulthood. For those individuals who complete the treacherous escape from the beach into the sea, there lies ahead an arduous and mysterious life in the open ocean. We know so little about this period in a turtle’s life that they are referred to as the ‘lost years’. It is hard enough to find a whale while exploring the pelagic ocean, so imagine my surprise when we came across a tiny turtle in the ‘blue desert’. It is the equivalent of finding the metaphorical needle in a haystack. A moment of exceptional rarity, and a privileged insight to the life of a species vulnerable to extinction. Big thanks to eagle-eyed friend and guide Ivan (@isotelo__) for spotting the turtle, part of another epic day on the water with @nomad_diving. Thank you to the friends and clients who were with me that day and shared in the wonder of the moment. Thank you the @nhm_wpy for continuing to make the ‘Oscar’s’ of the wildlife world possible. Heaps of appreciation for @jadehoksbergen as always, and my longterm partners @blancpain1735, @fourthelementdive, @xdeep_dive_gear, @nautilusuk.
