Just missed you. Was there yesterday.

Not the clapping, not the posters. The five things nurses carry every shift that nobody outside a hospital ever sees. They are the ones in the room when it happens, holding the hand at three in the morning and washing the body afterwards before walking to the next bed and smiling. They are hit, literally, with a recent survey of over a thousand nurses and midwives in this country finding almost nine in ten had experienced or witnessed violence at work in the past six months and one in twenty five had been choked. They do not eat, drink or go to the toilet, holding their bladder for six hours because there was nobody to watch their patients. They are blamed for a system they did not build, absorbing the anger for decisions made three floors above them by people who have never emptied a bedpan. And they go home and carry it, the child who did not make it and the old man who died alone, then walk in the door and someone asks what is for dinner. You are the reason hospitals work. Not the buildings, not the machines, not us. You. ❤️ Nurses, tell me what I have missed. Comment the toughest thing you endure that nobody talks about, I will read every one, and share this with a nurse who has never been thanked properly. #nurses #nurselife #healthcare #nursing #drjonny
Today I read the news that Floor Jansen is leaving @nightwish , and it made me sad. Another chapter closes. Three singers, three eras, each with its own voice and spirit. Nightwish holds a very special place in my own story. I graduated from a conservatory as an opera singer and didn’t even listen to this kind of music back then. I never imagined how much symphonic metal would come to mean to me, or how deeply it would influence me as an artist. Then came Sleeping Sun. This video of my performance went viral, reaching 40 million views and introducing my voice to so many people around the world. It gave my career an incredible boost, and singing this song still feels special every time. Today felt like the right moment to share it again, with gratitude for music that has changed so much in my life. 🤍 Wishing Floor and Nightwish inspiration on their journeys ahead. The music and memories they’ve given us will always stay with us. #nightwish #sleepingsun #floorjansen #nataliasarsgard #nightwishfamily
