We bought a 30-year-old camper thinking we’d paint it, recover the cushions and be done in two weeks. 😂

Two months later…

We’ve gutted it, found rot, rebuilt walls and floors, changed the layout, removed the bathroom, redone the kitchen, painted basically every surface, laid new flooring, wallpapered, built furniture and somehow turned this little old camper into exactly what we pictured for our kids.

And it’s FINALLY DONE. 🙌🤍

Seeing the before and after honestly feels a little insane.

This started as a cheap old camper we bought to give our family and kids a little more space during the winter months we spend in Baja.... because in case you missed it; our family lives and travels full time in our self-converted school bus

Now it’s a hangout spot. A casita. A space to make memories in for years to come...learn to bake sourdough with our new @recprousa oven, have sleepovers with friends, game nights, movie nights and take the life on the road adventure to the next level as our family is growing.

*Our new appliances were gifted by @recprousa 🤍*

And so after two+ months of living and breathing this project…

It's done.

next stop: Baja. 🇲🇽🌴

You can be eating healthy, training consistently and doing everything right… yet still struggle with a swollen, uncomfortable stomach 😔

And something I wish more women understood is that a distended tummy doesn’t automatically mean you’ve gained body fat, that your nutrition is poor… or that all your hard work has gone out the window!

There are so many things happening inside our bodies that can influence how we look and feel from one day to the next. LITERALLY!

Hormonal fluctuations, digestion, stress, food sensitivities and underlying health conditions can all play a role.

And sometimes, those things are completely outside our control.

For me personally, living with adenomyosis and endometriosis means abdominal swelling and discomfort can be part of my reality, even when I’m doing everything I can to look after myself.

As you can see in the photo above…

I have happy tummy days, and then I have painful, bad tummy days.

But one thing I’ve learned is that while I can’t always control what my body does .. I CAN control how I choose to support it.

And for me, nutrition and training are a big part of that.

I’ve become much more mindful of how I train, how I recover and what foods I eat.

I’m also much more intentional about supporting my digestion and gut health.

Not because I believe food can cure every underlying issue, but because making the right adjustments can sometimes help alleviate symptoms and make everyday life a little more comfortable.

Because nutrition isn’t just about losing body fat or building muscle. It’s also about how you FEEL.

I’ve tried many diets in my time, and that’s one of the reasons I teamed up with my partner to build our nutrition coaching app Meal Engine.

I don’t believe there’s a one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to nutrition.

And that’s something we’ve taken into consideration when developing our approach to nutrition coaching.

Because what works for one person might not work for another.

We all have different goals, lifestyles, preferences and nutritional needs.

So, we created an adaptive coaching app that can create a custom plan specifically for YOU 🫶

it’s my superbowl.

huge thank you to @brooksrunning for sponsoring me, i know it’s not because of my running abilities but it still makes me feel like a pro

On behalf of friends and family, it is with a heavy heart that we share that our dearest Helen was taken from us too soon.

If you knew Helen, you knew how full of life she was. She simply radiated.

Helen was talented, creative, and so much fun. She loved to travel and was a gifted ceramic artist. She spent years living abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she met the love of her life, Adam, and started her PR company, Influential PR.

Together, they built a life rooted in family, adventure and love. Helen adored her family. Her happiest place was next to Adam and their two beautiful children, along with their dog Bonnie, who was always by her side (and usually in her lap).

Helen had friends from every chapter of her life: those she grew up with in Houston, her friends from the University of Arizona, and the many people she met during her years abroad and their time in Austin and Aspen.

To know Helen was to love her. The number of people grieving Helen and Adam is a testament to how many people were lucky enough to have them in their lives.

Helen embodied a life well lived. She embraced the world, made beautiful things, built lasting relationships, and loved her people fiercely.

Her light was extraordinary, and it will continue to shine through the artwork she made, the legacy she built, and the countless lives she touched.
