This movie is a love letter to friendship. A love letter to Los Angeles. A city that has shaped me in so many ways as a person and as an artist.

This is HOW TO LOSE A FRIEND. A feature film about two friends and aspiring actors who move to LA to chase their dreams. Their bond is tested by love, jealousy, and growing success. Inspired by the song “HOW TO LOSE A FRIEND” by @wafiaaa

If you’re a fan of heart-felt coming of age movies like FRANCES HA, WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD, or GIRLHOOD, you’ll love this film.

But here’s the thing. This is just the teaser. We are still working on making the whole feature film.

And now we have the opportunity to get the funding. @wesleywangmedia is giving a filmmaker $100k to make a feature film.

If you want to see this film, comment and tag @wesleywanggg and the @wesleywangmedia team! And share with a friend who you’re grateful to have in your life. Or maybe a friend you fell out of touch with who you miss.

We have the cast - our leads @ashleighmorghan and @ssawyerrr are such amazing talented actors. It was such a joy to play and collaborate with them.

We have the script - spent 2 years refining the script through table reads, notes, and coverage.

We have the team! Our amazing producer @govader has been working hard on developing the project and has supported projects that have screened at Sundance and other major festivals.

Our DP @ajyoungdp is a master at the lens - having shot a number of award-winning feature films.

Our badass editor @elisadaniels who has cut some of the most awesome commercials and short form content! And she also edited this bad-ass trailer!!

And our composer @sarabaronemusic just won an Emmy for her incredible work on the Netflix show THE BEAST IN ME 🔥🎬

And then there’s me. I’ve directed short films that have screened all over the world. I had a blast making my episodic directing debut on CHICAGO FIRE. And the budget for 10 min of that show would be enough to make this feature 😂

I’m ready for this next step. And to tell this story. To collaborate and make a movie!!! Support indie, human made filmmaking.

Much love,
Tayo
