Good reminder to always do a thorough tailgate check on our best buds after they’ve been busting covers for us - checking eyes and inner eye lids for seeds, paw pads for injuries, grass awns, etc. - and even nasal openings if they seem irritated. That little brown thing barely visible in his nostril in the first few pics was a stick embedded in his nasal cavity. Drove him a few hours to nearest 24 hour veterinarian ER for some good care and now he’s right as rain. The pic ended up being the proof needed for the vets to get in there after it - it had moved further back and was obscured by swelling from his constant sneezing trying to dislodge it himself.
