At long last I have completed my @authorlivzander reads and guys, she’s made it into my top 3 authors of all time. I will consume every single word that she writes, happily relish in the pain that she delivers and hold every character she creates close to my heart.
This duet is completely slept on, and it definitely for the dark romance girlies who love a bit of eerie gothic fantasy. It’s darker than Court of Ravens, but maintains the grim fantastical world like Heartstring duet. I adored the exploration of character and this book pushed me to expand my empathy and settle with imperfect people who strive to better themselves and be good.
Individual reviews of each book will be posted on the next slides (spoiler free) and if you scroll far enough you’ll see a process video of the letter foiling process.
Liv you are a mastermind of developing deep meaningful characters and I’ll never stop hyping you up.

This is twisted, dark and addictive.
I must admit I was worried that I may not love this duet after reading the first few chapters. The romance is dark, much more than her other duets, and I am not a hardcore dark romance girlie. But I know there’s always more to Liv’s characters, stories and world, so I kept reading and boy am I glad I did. (Ps. This duet has the most horror/gore of all her duets).
I was quickly hooked as soon as Yarin made an appearance and I yearned to learn more about Ada and Enosh. Who were these people? Their pasts? Their core selves and their pain? I could not stop reading and struggled to put the book down. A 5 star feeling was creeping up, and I was absolutely living in it.
The plot intensified, the human and godly worlds mingled together, and my rage grew. Fk them priests. I felt emotions as conflicting as Ada experienced, something that Liv always does incredibly well. My chest hurt and I felt rage as the last 15% of the book was heartbreaking.
