Once voting opens in your province, head to cbc.ca/shortfilmfaceoff by either:

🔗 Scanning the QR code
🔗 Manually typing out the website in your browser
🔗 Finding the link in our LinkTree link in our bio
🔗 Finding the link in the description of our Facebook Event

Note: Due to the Canadian “Online News Act”, links from CBC cannot be directly shared on Facebook or Instagram. When sharing the link with others, use our LinkTree link!

Q: WHO DO I VOTE FOR?

We really hope you vote FOR ROY, but ultimately, vote for your favourite film. Even though all of our films are critiqued by a panel of experts, it is the online votes of Canadian viewers that ultimately decide which emerging filmmaker wins the @telefilm_canada award of $30,000 to be used for their next film.

For us, we hope to use the prize to fund Vivian's next film, exploring her family's journey to Canada as boat people refugees!
