TOP 3 ON NATIONAL TV - let's go! We didn't win but I'm so grateful for the opportunity to share @forroyfilm on @cbcshortfilm and make it to Episode 4. Thank you to everyone who voted and watched the films, and congrats to 100 Days for being the Season 17 champion 🎉 Far beyond anything I could ask for as a first-time filmmaker, this film and this entire journey into the world of film gave me the confidence and resources to talk about loss/grief without shame and to move towards my dream project of finally retracing my family's refugee journey 44 years later. I honestly don't know how it will happen or if it will happen now that we hit another dead end for funding this crazy idea, so if anybody has any leads, let me know. Until then, sitting in this moment of gratitude after a long 2 years. Episode 1, 4, & the full film is now available on @cbcgem! by @forroyfilm

Group Stage results! 📌32 films, 2 from each group have qualified for the Knockout stage! In many cases, it was a really close call, and we are proud of all the filmmakers and the dedication they showcase with their work! 🎞️Film Olympiad, has dared to be the first ever film festival to adopt full transparency, with the ratings of all the participating films by the Jury. 📖We believe that at the same time, these ratings can provide valuable feedback for filmmakers who can really know what the Jury thought about each element of their work. Of course it is a demanding task, and we are grateful for the filmmakers appreciation of our efforts. On the next stages, each film is re-evaluated with the changes producing some exciting surprises, but also creating a more accurate final rating! 5 wins in the Knockout stage, lead a film to the Best Film Gold 🥇 and the symbolic prize money that Film Olympiad gives to the best film. Who will win the Gold Medal this time? 🥇🎥 #films #filmfest #filmfestival #filmawards #filmolympiad #gold #olympics #olympiad #acting #directing #writing by @forroyfilm
