Elon Musk and Bill Gates are back in the spotlight, and their long-running rivalry is making headlines once again. This time, a viral post has attributed a bold remark to Musk after criticism of his business journey began circulating online: “Don’t make me buy Microsoft just to fire him.” The two billionaires have a history of disagreements, from Gates’ past bets against Tesla stock to their contrasting views on climate change, public health, and technology. However, there’s an important catch: Musk’s alleged Microsoft remark has not been independently verified, and there’s no confirmed evidence that he actually said it. Is this just another viral internet moment, or does it reflect the tension between two of the world’s most influential billionaires? What’s your take on the Musk–Gates rivalry?
