🖍️Note From Yesterday’s
@janestreetspeaks_ - We like to start with a conversation about each other and ask some ice breakers
@nathan.baya asked : What is your WHY?
-
Rare: I grew up in a marginalized community, from days of struggle and poverty. My why is being who I needed when I was younger - someone that helps folks navigate life’s challenges ⭐️ it’s part of my inner child’s healing and I think we deserve to take a moment for ourselves. I have a project I use to do in my neighbourhood in Central Etobicoke 5 years ago called “Break Time” , sometimes doing writing, chats, water balloon 🎈 fights and other activities with families & kids from the projects. Fun for all

This question brought me back to my roots 🌱 It’s wholesome to see how full circle it is from seeing empowering women like
@brookewrite but now becoming one yourself!
-
I think being a young, black women in the arts opens a door to many opportunities, being able to share life skills for kids & youth plus teaching them about careers or what’s happening in the next five years is where impact lives. My purpose is helping others find theirs 🔐
