my first album is out today

there isn’t a normal way to explain what it feels like to finally make the thing you’ve been dreaming about for your entire life

i started working in music when i was 13.

i worked at a record store in phoenix, booked concerts, found all the other sweet weird kids who stayed up too late talking about records

then i kept following music wherever it would let me in

new york, los angeles, las vegas, miami, chicago, london, paris, berlin, bangkok, mumbai, kingston, seoul, tokyo

clubs, hotel basements, warehouses, studios, afterparties, bedrooms, backseats, airplanes

i learned how to read a room before i really learned how to read myself

i think that’s somewhere inside come to mommy.

everybody knows “come to daddy.”

but what does mommy want?

i want love. freedom. tenderness. quiet. noise. devotion. good trouble. somebody to come home to. a wild amount of fun. sex. divertido… i want the record to feel like warm ocean waves from a dear friend washing over you with comfort

to move because dancing has saved me more times than i can count!

and mostly i wanted to make something that made me feel alive

the brilliant @nicksylvester enticed me out of my cave and helped me build a world of lush, sparkling punk pastures. somewhere along the way, he made me fall in love with making songs again 💘

@jorge_elbrecht came in and we made three songs that make me divinely happy

@neilkrug my dream partner in sound & vision helped me see the world around it before i knew what it looked like

@murdstrom @larsstalfors @nomograph.mastering @channeltres

my dearly beloved manager @ryanpitchfork or ryan strawberry as the kids call him

@mellybuttons made the whole show happen, working with you was truly a god send

@gtrilla @maxwellturner @majormoonn @nicolereber @manyhatsendeavors @patdagle @chrisswanson_secretly @grantmanship @alfieeallen @miateilz forever in awe of u!!

@cstolles @tcb.world @alisonjmsmith @scarlett.rose___ @judymillersilverman thank u for helping me find my voice and being the most incredible team 💕
