While working as a reviewer and radio host, Pearce routinely faced severe misogynistic harassment and violent threats on social media. Pearce explained that her goal was to introduce real-world consequences to digital harassment, ensuring authority figures in these individuals’ lives could address and correct toxic online behavior.
