Fifa paid millions of dollars to Gianni Infantino on top of his standard salary and bonus, but did not publicly declare the payments in an alleged violation of its own statutes.

Sources say that some of the undisclosed money paid to Infantino was to cover his luxury lifestyle in Miami in the run-up to the World Cup, including renting a stunning waterfront mansion for tens of thousands of dollars a month.

An investigation by The Times has found that Infantino has been receiving two separate salaries — one from Fifa in Switzerland which is declared in its annual report and a separate one paid by the World Cup organising company in the USA, which was not declared.

Since Infantino was elected as president in 2016, Fifa has committed to publishing his salary, bonus and allowances — and that of the general secretary — every year in its annual report.

The revelations are likely to increase the scrutiny on Infantino, 56, who has been under pressure to resign since The Times revealed in July his plan to sell off stakes in the World Cup to private investors.

The Times asked Fifa for an explanation of the extra, undisclosed payments to Infantino but in its response it did not explain why they were not declared in the annual report.

A Fifa spokesman said: “The Fifa president’s annual compensation, as well as other contractual benefits, are decided by the Fifa compensation sub-committee. Fifa contributes to social charges, pension fund and other contractual employee benefits for the president, as mentioned in the Fifa annual report. These benefits are reported to the US authorities in line with reporting requirements.”

Fifa did not respond to questions about whether Infantino had been paid other undeclared amounts before the 2022 Qatar World Cup, or in 2025 and 2026.

HOW DO YOU RESPOND TO WARNINGS?!! A tornado warning woke me up out my GOOD SLEEP, and I didn’t know what to do because WHERE DO YOU GO FOR A TORNADO?!🤣😂😭

And while I was inconvenienced because of the warning, i was never mad at the meteorologist nor was I mad at the warning that came (uninvited) to my phone and interrupted my sleep.

I’ve come to learn that warnings don’t care about your comfort, and they’re only here for one reason and one reason only…

TO SAVE YOUR LIFE!!!

In this season, reassess how you respond to God’s warnings so that you don’t find yourself in trouble bc you ignored them.

I have been thinking a lot over the past couple of weeks about the fallout and reaction from what happened at Cornell. It was such a seismic shift, it, heartbreakingly showed up a lot of polarity and highlighted, even more, if that’s even possible, the ingrained, deep, deep, deep routed misogyny, hatred, mistrust and mistreatment of women around the world. It showed us how bad it actually is. And we already knew it was fucken bad.
The casualness and subconscious acceptance of the ‘comment’, the look, the persistence, the not taking no for an answer, the constant management of bad behaviour, the overwhelming tiredness and sadness and anger that most women are experiencing and feeling is palpable.
So. We aren’t going to change men and their behaviour. We aren’t. The ones who are our allies, we love and thank you. You are shouting from the rooftops. The ones who are extremely defensive about all this will remain extremely defensive and probably not question any of the diabolical and hateful things that happen to the women in their lives on a daily basis because it would mean taking a look at their behaviour and attitudes towards women and that’s a thread that they don’t want to pull at because it would mean accepting some kind of responsibility and accountability. The men and women who are defending the appalling ‘comedy’ on SNL, Megyn Kelly, the Cornell Seven and whoever else it will be, for tomorrow there WILL be another story and another awful man doing another awful thing to a woman, well there is no hope for them. None. They are too far down the path unless, it happens to one of the females in their life. We need to teach our young boys. We need to empower our young girls. We need to not have institutions around the world that breed this kind of behaviour. We need to teach empathy, kindness, compassion, and love to our young children and make it clear, unequivocally, that those attributes make men and women strong, not weak. I’m so angry and so, so sad. But I’m hopeful. I met some amazing students at the university I was working at in America this week and they were incredible. They know and they understand and they are angry too. Gives me hope. ♥️🙏
