Some of you have spent years trying to find friendship in family members who have never made you feel emotionally safe.

And perhaps the hardest part to accept is that you’ve been confusing the obligation to maintain a relationship with the safety required to be vulnerable in one.

Being related doesn’t automatically make someone trustworthy. And loving your family doesn’t mean you have to keep giving them access to parts of your life they haven’t demonstrated the capacity to handle.

This isn’t about dishonoring family, encouraging division, or withholding love. It’s about recognizing that shared history does not guarantee emotional safety, and familiarity does not automatically produce friendship.

If you’re fortunate enough to have family members who are also your friends, cherish them. That’s a blessing.

But if you don’t, I hope you stop feeling guilty for acknowledging what the relationship actually is instead of grieving what you’ve always wanted it to be.

You can love people without continuing to hurt yourself trying to be close to them, friend. I hope this helps the people who need it most ❤️🫶🏾

Comment “CLAUDE” and I’ll DM you all 7 prompts + the Claude Mastery Guide 📩

You can describe an app to Claude in plain English and it builds a working version right next to the chat. You use it, share the link and change it by just asking.

The 7 apps in this post cost $1,501 a year on their cheapest paid plans. Claude builds simple versions of all of them in an afternoon. They’re not full clones, so for payments or sensitive client data, keep the real app. To save data or share an app with clients, publish it from a paid Claude plan.

1. Your website (instead of Squarespace, $276/yr)
2. Booking page (instead of Calendly, $120/yr)
