Every pregnancy is a blessing

For 30 years, Al Jazeera went where others couldn’t. Or wouldn’t. AJLabs traces the price of staying on air.

From the first day on set to finally seeing Udta Teer play on the big screen, this has been such a special experience, especially for my first time stepping into the director’s chair. Thank you to the cast and our lovely technicians who made this dream possible, and to my producers for believing in it. Most of all, I’m grateful to everyone who’s watched #UdtaTeer in theatres and shown us so much love.

Masaledaar picture banaane ki koshish ki thi, apne yaar-doston ke saath. ❤️🏹

Please do go watch it in a theatre near you! ❤️

Nesting thoughts 💭🐣

Having been a midwife prior to this you would think I’d have it all figured out😅 But honestly, having more knowledge doesn’t always help.

Sometimes, it actually makes things feel harder.

I’m still human, with my own experience, my own concerns and worries.

I have a midwife because I recognise that I shouldn’t be making all the decisions on my own through an emotional or biased lens.

Yes, I trust my body, but in this world I’m not sure if that’s enough anymore, and I think that’s true for almost everything in life.

Isn’t that why coaches need coaches, doctors need doctors, and therapists need therapists?

Knowing and doing aren’t the same thing, and I’ve learnt that there is so much value in the unteachable lessons we gain from personal experience.

So, to all the mums here, what’s the best advice you received during pregnancy or motherhood? Help a new FTM out 🩷
