torn🥀 - PLEASE DONT SEND KY KELLY ANY HATE! This episode was really hard lol! Hearing jokes about things i’ve specifically battled with, paired with exhaustion of filming the competition, just felt overwhelming in that moment. I’ve struggled with self image issues all my life & I’ve done a lot of work to undo that & feel comfortable in my body. Hearing read after read about things I couldn’t change in that moment put me back into the mind of my childhood self that was bullied for these things in school. I let the girls know I was feeling fragile as we saw, so what came next really set off my fight or flight. I want to reiterate that you should NOT send KY hate at all, seeing her receive any kind of hate genuinely upsets me. I don’t like how she behaved but it isn’t anyone’s business except my own to feel deeply about that. Please respect my wishes on this! The combination of my headspace from the reading challenge, Kelly coming at me and no one checking in on or defending me sent me deeper into an overwhelmed and isolated headspace and resurfaced childhood trauma and I tried to defend myself the best I could. Growing up I was surrounded by drug and alcohol abuse, domestic violence at home and feeling like I was alone/had to take care of myself. I’m at peace with the circumstances of my childhood and am an open book about my experiences however I don’t respond well to aggression or being shouted at and I’m very conflict avoidant in these situations. I’m proud of myself for how I handled everything. I am the sum of all my parts and i would always choose to live my life exactly the same way again and again because that’s the reason I am the strong person I am today. i love you all! thank you x photo: @mtyparks assistance: @itsstarlet outfit: @chadwickstudios.ldn and myself dyed by @itsstarlet stoned by @theingarock hat by myself! hair: @walklettwigs #dragraceuk #dragrace #dragqueen #phantomoftheopera #musicaltheatre
