Happy Halloween 🎃🍭
In the early 1980s, a young Céline Dion was beginning her journey into the music industry alongside René Angélil, the Canadian music manager who would eventually become her husband. They first met in 1980 when Dion was just 12 years old and Angélil was 38, after her family sent him a recording of her singing. Impressed by her extraordinary voice, he believed in her talent so strongly that he mortgaged his home to finance her first album. Celine Dion +1 Their professional relationship continued throughout Dion’s teenage years, with Angélil helping transform her into a rising star. Their relationship reportedly became romantic when Dion was around 19, despite their 26 year age difference. The relationship initially faced opposition from Dion’s mother, who had concerns about their ages and Angélil’s previous marriages. The couple married in December 1994 at Notre Dame Basilica in Montreal and went on to have three sons together. Angélil remained a central figure in Dion’s personal life and career until his death from throat cancer in January 2016, aged 73. Their decades together remain one of the most widely discussed relationships in music history. ❤️🎤
