My dear,
There's a love from a foreign land
That courses through my heart
When thoughts of you are near

Faraway tales, of simpler times
When peace filled our wild lover hearts
​
Songs of open fields,
Enter my heart's inner ear
And bright wide skies
When you step near
​
Would you recognize this tune
If I were to sing to you?
​
Would it pierce through
To your inner ears too?
​
Perhaps it has been too long
Since you've sailed overseas
And heard such blessed songs
​
I've not come here to these troubled times
To tell the common tavern tales,
Or barter in the local town market
​
For my heart knows only of
An ancient tune
From a faraway time
​
A song that strings together two hearts
In the silent Light that can
illuminate even the deepest corners
Of the heart
​
Corners that oft’ remain dark
without the ancient music
