Kandukondain Kandukondain is in my opinion, one of the smartest adaptations of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility. Even the title beautifully reflects the sisters’ emotional journeys as they find their own paths in life/love. What I love most is how beautifully the film retains the essence of Austen’s 1800s story and its characters while adapting it to the modern 2000s setting where women’s independence is increasingly embraced. A beautiful adaptation that stays true to Austen’s core plot while becoming something entirely its own 🤍 Directed by : @dirrajivmenon Cinematography: @dop007 Music : @arrahman
