For those of you who do not yet know me, I am founder and creator of @eyesarethestory , the world’s first optocosmetics brand designed for sensitive eyes.

After two decades of deep involvement in the ocular surface space (aka TFOS: tearfilm.org), I launched my Boston-based biobeauty startup with a mission to revolutionize eye health.

Growing up immersed in science and medicine, my father, Dr. David A. Sullivan—a globally recognized scientist specializing in Dry Eye Disease—played a pivotal role in shaping my passion. A conversation with him 20 years ago in Paris sparked an “aha” moment for me, inspiring me to research the link between cosmetics and dry eye. This insight set me on a path to create products that bridge beauty and pharma.

My mission extends beyond products. Also lecturing around the world, I educate both clinicians and patients about the dangers of toxic beauty. I am also a voice for eye wellness, advocating for healthier beauty choices (even lobbying U.S. Congress on dry eye issues!).

In my free time, I am very involved in the arts. In 2012, I co-founded the Italian & International Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums, a non-profit focused on making art accessible to the blind and visually impaired.

My passion and leadership in the beauty and eye health industries are fostering a global impact that continues to grow.

I am based between Boston and Paris.
