The MSA at iSchool High located on University Park at Lone Star college had a calligraphy workshop sponsored by the Islamic Art Society. Students in the after school program enthusiastically participated in becoming familiar with the Arabic language while having fun opening their minds and trying their hand at a new craft.

Indus Hospital fundraiser gala also took place at the Westin, where calligraphy name writing was preformed during the social hour also sponsored by the Islamic Arts Society once again. Many photographers were present who captured the guests and their unique names that were being written. And a lovely thanks to Dr Gulzar Nathani for being such a hospitable host and invited us IAS artists to be present at such an auspicious event that ended up raising money in the millions in just one night.

Also don’t forget our festival coming up at the University of Houston on November 9th & 10th @islamicartssociety
