We’ve officially had our house for a year…and what a year it has been. 4 months straight of working all hours of the night to make this house our home. And we’ve already filled it with so many memories and lots of girls nights (sorry jacob). I seriously can’t believe how lucky we are!

Sometimes the hardest part of being an athlete is knowing when to take a step back ❤️‍🩹 Sadly I won’t be competing at this @fiseworld @ucibmxfreestyle World Cup 🇨🇳 I’ve been quiet on social media for a week because the past few days have been a bit of a roller coaster. I’ve been dealing with vertigo which basically makes everything spin in my head like riding a rollercoaster whenever I move my head too much. I’ve talked to several doctors, worked with physios and mental coaches, and tried everything I could to get back on my bike. But in the end we decided it’s better to sit this one out. It sucks, especially after putting in so much work and feeling ready to compete. But I guess being an athlete also means knowing when to listen to your body instead of always pushing through. My priority now is to focus on the (upcoming) World Championships rather than pushing my limits here and risking further health complications or injury. I feel bad because I’ve been riding world cups since 9 years nonstop and I always pushed through boundaries so I feel like I wanted to share this because I know I’m probably not the only athlete struggling with moments like this. Sometimes one step back is what you need to take two steps forward.
