Out playing as an adult. I look different but feel the same.

I came down to my meadow to photograph this new outfit and found my outside locker had blown over and I got that childhood urge to walk along it. My mobility is rubbish but I did it anyway, slow and steady and it was just fun.

Ok at 47 with impaired mobility it felt riskier and very high up and also a bit death defying. It wasn’t 😂 but I had fun and in the half an hour I came outside to photograph this fit I frolicked and enjoyed my own company just playing in my own way. It was just what my chronically ill self needed before retiring back to my couch nest.

Why do we stop playing? Are you still inclined to walk along the top of a wall or whatever silly thing you did without thinking as a kid ‘just because’ and it was fun?
