It’s all about Bob. 😍 My phone has never rang/pinged so much as the day this was announced. Me interviewing one of the funniest people on the planet……who also happens to be a Boro lad. I cannot wait. What an absolute honour. And I’ve read the book. It is class! Ps. The song is relevant to the book 🥰 Who is coming to see us?! (Obvs when I say ‘us’ I mean ‘him’ 😂😂) #meatsandcheesesalwayspleases @realbobmortimer

Some of the things that slow you down are the very things saving you. 🛑🙏
⠀
Most of us hate being stopped. The missed flight, the deal that fell through, the plan that got canceled at the last minute, the door that closed right before you walked through it. In the moment, it feels like bad luck. Like life is getting in your way.
⠀
But you rarely get to see what you were being protected from. The road ahead that wasn’t safe. The person who would’ve hurt you. The opportunity that would’ve cost you more than it gave. Sometimes the interruption is the only reason you’re still okay.
⠀
That’s why it’s worth paying attention when life pumps the brakes. Not every delay is a setback. Not every “no” is a rejection. Some of them are quiet warnings you’ll only understand later, when you look back and realize how close you came.
⠀
So the next time something stops you in your tracks, don’t rush to get frustrated. Take a breath, trust the timing, and stay open to the possibility that you’re being looked after in ways you can’t see yet.
⠀
Protection doesn’t always look like a miracle. Sometimes it just looks like a reason to stop.
