Personnel from the National Army of Colombia (specifically from specialized units like the Colombian Jungle Commandos) maneuvering through dense jungle terrain and engaging cartels around July 19, 2026. The unit here seems to under suppressive fire and pinned down.

The standing soldier is operating a Milkor MGL (Multiple Grenade Launcher). This 40mm six-shot revolver-type grenade launcher is manufactured under license locally in Colombia by INDUMIL. (Correct me if I am wrong).

The incoming fire faced by the Jungle Commandos typically originates from heavily armed illegal factions. These include FARC dissident splinter groups (such as the powerful Carolina Ramírez Front) and the Clan del Golfo cartel. These syndicates utilize sophisticated military-grade weaponry to protect highly lucrative cocaine supply chains. They operate primarily in remote, densely forested departments like Guaviare, Caquetá, and Putumayo, where geographical isolation makes helicopter mobility absolute.

It is highly likely that they were fighting FARC dissident groups or powerful drug cartels like the Clan del Golfo, rather than the ELN (Ejército de Liberación Nacional). While the Colombian government does not publicly disclose the specific target of classified missions, open-source military reports and geopolitical context point away from ELN—The ELN is a Marxist insurgent group that traditionally operates out of different geographic Strongholds—primarily mountainous borders, the oil-rich northeast regions (like Catatumbo and Arauca), and portions of the Pacific coast— but reinforces the FARC Dissidents being involved, which they are splinter factions that refused the 2016 peace accord (such as the Carolina Ramírez Front or Segunda Marquetalia), or another candidate: "Clan del Golfo" which is currently the largest and most militarized drug cartel in Colombia.

The ELN is a Marxist insurgent group that traditionally operates out of different geographic Strongholds—primarily mountainous borders, the oil-rich northeast regions (like Catatumbo and Arauca), and portions of the Pacific coast.

gorillaz did not deserve to get caught up in that loserslop playlist 💀

The first days of autumn in the Italian countryside 🍂

Finding my Italian countryside style as the seasons slowly change. Still wearing my favourite summer pieces, while gently introducing cosy textures, earthy tones and layers for cooler days.

Moving with nature’s rhythm — thoughtfully and patiently — in the way I dress, live, feel and eat. Embracing the beauty of slow living and the simple pleasures of this season.

Excited for everything this incredibly beautiful time of year has to bring. 🤎
