Your kitchen counter is a glute machine 🍑 (and don’t get me started on the bathroom sink!) do you workout at home or the gym? ☕️While the coffee brews, try this SNEAK IT IN move: the Diagonal Kickback. Kicking back and out on a diagonal works your gluteus medius, the muscle on the side of your hip that keeps your pelvis level every time you take a step. Why it matters after 50 - Helps to: ✨ Lift and shapes the glutes ✨ Build hip stability for better balance ✨ Protect against falls ✨ Support your knees and lower back ✨ Make walking and stairs feel easier How to do it: 👉 Hold the counter lightly and stand tall 👉 Brace your core and keep your hips facing forward 👉 Kick one leg back and out at a 45° angle 👉 Squeeze your glute at the top, then lower slowly 👉 Do 10–12 per side, and keep it slow and controlled (no swinging!) Small moves, done often, add up to big strength. 💪 🦋Follow or share with your loved one for more - I think I have one or two more sneak it in moves this week! 🔥 or if you want to get started and stay more consistent with friends, join us in EverStrong, my live virtual strength class for adults 50+. It meets twice a week, and recordings are included so you never miss a session. Comment STRONG and I’ll send you all the details! Or comment “free” for a Get Fit over 50 workout plan. It’s a little older but still a goodie. @cindysullivanfitness Midlife & Senior Home Fitness Tips 🦋❤️ #SneakItIn #ExerciseSnacking #GluteMedius #StrongOver50 #HealthyAging
