Happy birthday to my dog Oxxo. She is two years old this month. I don’t know her exact birthday as she was an orphan in front of an Oxxo store in Mexico… 🇲🇽 She is now officially 2. I’ve had her most all her life (she was very young when I found her as you can see in the second picture) She has changed my life. I am so grateful to get to be her mom and that she teaches me to get out in nature, play, and appreciate the little things.

A little beauty secret straight from nature. 🌹💄 In Peru, one of the most iconic red pigments has a rather unexpected origin: tiny insects called cochineal that live on prickly pear cacti. When dried and processed, these insects produce carminic acid, which creates carmine, a rich natural red dye used for centuries in cosmetics, textiles and food coloring. So the next time you reach for a bold red lipstick, remember that its color might have a very surprising story behind it. 🎥: @liyapresti
