I never want to be excited about Thanksgiving dinner in prison again. Cold food on a plastic tray isn't a feast. I’m thankful for freedom, family, and real meals.

🏅 Chicagoooo Marathon ‘26 @niketraining @nikerunning 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 it’s inspiring to see ordinary people do extraordinary things 🎭 for some it’s their 1st marathon others their 30th some take it serious others for the vibes some meet their goals others don’t and vow to try again ⚖️⚖️⚖️⚖️ some are presented with genetic gifts given from on high, others presented with adversity they’ve accepted and consider it anything but, turning into gifts of their own as seeing amputees, veterans, visually impaired with guides, and more on the course is enough to make a grown man smile and cry in respect the point is, 50,000+ people woke up and decided to try and do something “extra”ordinary in Chicago, big respect. I was glad to be among them the point of the marathon is not the running, it’s that it gives a very evident example of what happens if you decide to just methodically approach a challenge and the persistence of your human spirit and people celebrating that and in the right context + preparation you can often do things you otherwise think you couldn’t so the point is not to run 26.2 miles, especially if running isnt your thing. The point is to find your own “marathons” or “races” in this weird journey of life that even if the longevity bros try to convince you otherwise will have its own finish line and perhaps along the way you can have some smiles in between the grimaces and remind yourself you’re capable than more you’ve previously imagined 🖤 KEEP PUSHIN’ 🖤 🏁🏴‍☠️🏁🏴‍☠️🏁 photos c/o @isojordin @carlnard
