📺 🤖 People are now using AI to hack their smart TVs, and the results are pretty impressive.

Smart TVs have become packed with ads, unwanted apps, and slow menus. Now, people are using tools like Claude Code to take control of their TVs and build something better.

One developer gave Claude his parents' TV model number and asked it to remove the clutter. Claude found the TV on Wi-Fi, removed 25 Xiaomi packages, and built a clean new home screen.

Others are taking it even further, creating custom menus, adding live weather and business stats, and even controlling their smart homes directly from their TVs.

The best part? Some of these projects took just an afternoon.

We're entering an era where people can use AI to change how their devices work instead of settling for whatever the manufacturer gives them.

And judging by these examples, plenty of people are ready for that.
