![aespa’s Giselle (@aespa_official) is facing lip-syncing accusations after a clip from her birthday fan event went viral online! 👀🎤
On October 30, Giselle held her “2026 GISELLE B-day PARTY [In MY Blood]” at Myunghwa Live Hall in Seoul, celebrating her 26th birthday with fans.
However, a clip from the event quickly sparked controversy after an X user accused Giselle of lip-syncing during her performance.
In the viral footage, Giselle can be seen covering her face and becoming emotional near the microphone, leading some viewers to question whether the vocals continued while she was no longer singing directly into it.
The post gained millions of views, with users debating whether the moment suggested the use of prerecorded vocals or backing tracks. 😳
However, fans who attended the event have defended Giselle, saying they could hear her live vocals throughout the performance and arguing that the short clip doesn’t tell the full story.
While the footage has fueled discussion about live singing and backing tracks in K-pop, the clip alone doesn’t establish whether Giselle was lip-syncing.
Do you think the clip raises questions about the performance, or is the controversy being blown out of proportion? 👀💬
